Last summer, the House of Telhuet participated in a competition organized by the site www.agevillage.com , France and IGM Asshumevie association.
This competition was to identify and promote socio-cultural activities that have enabled the realization of desires of the elderly frail, living in institutions or at home.
Thus, the House of Telhuet presented the project "Let's stay connected!" allowing each resident to remain in contact with families, friends and relatives via the internet and all the possibilities this offers. This "desire" is currently shared by a dozen residents who make appointments every Monday for special moments over the Internet.
This project aims to increase, so a second post computer may be implemented if attendance increases!
The project has attracted the attention of the jury and the House of Telhuet won the first prize, a grant of 2000 euros will be assigned exclusively to the Animation department to permit the attainment of other things.
Specifically, facilitators will travel from room to room, meeting residents to identify with them, needs perhaps not heard.
